So kee-yute

Ok, not holiday related, but I think my brain's friend enough to just want to look at friendly, perky cartoon pictures. (So much for the Christmas holiday existing to lighten up lives during dark winter months.) This is one of the Beijing Olympics' five mascots, and I just think they're darling...

That, and Google's been keeping me happy with their doodles. Ah, cute smiling little faces...

Totally unrelated

Lost's Ana Lucia is at it again... Fast and furious, isn't she?

Playing Santa

Ok, so this is my shopping list, my virtual bookmarks of things I may want to buy you.
No peeking, you know who you are.

Inspiration

I like this. Writing as jealousy.

Making a list

Ok, so this is really, really not what a blog should be used for. Very bad example, this. But, as I've said before, this is my space (no, it's not, ha ha, it's blogger), and I'll do what I want with it.

This is my auxiliary wish list for Christmas. Yes, how refreshingly non-greedy of me. But I figure, if I find some things that I want while I'm wandering the Internet, I might as well point my family directly to said desired item.

For Mom, Dad, Zac and whoever else feels like getting me a gift, here's how it works: Click on comments, below, to find links to sites and things that I could be happy opening under a Christmas tree.

And, to save some face, watch out for my upcoming Christmas shopping list... The holidays really are about giving, you know.

Looking out

Who would've thought the holiday season would be a good time to get a new job? One of my co-workers is moving on to a job way closer to my hometown--and I'll be honest, I'm totally jealous.

Another has just moved up to work as what he calls a "laborer," and says he'll be making more there with starting pay than he would with his next raise in our office. I guess "working on a railroad all the livelong day" might not seem so bad, after working in a newsroom? I don't know...

Dear Santa, All I want for Christmas is a clear plan for what my next career step should be...
